Early in their term, Montrose Village Council establishes the Village’s priorities for the upcoming Council term through the Strategic Planning process. This includes identifying upcoming Village operational and service needs, identifying the associated resources needed, and then establishing the priorities, goals and objectives that are to be accomplished.
Once Council adopts the Strategic Plan, all Village budgetary and operational service decisions are weighed and measured to ensure that those considerations and resulting decisions continue to support the plan. Council normally updates the plan mid-term to ensure the adopted goals and objectives are still relevant and make any necessary adjustments if or when priorities change.
