The summer student position be advertised on the Montrose Post Office Bulletin Board and the Village Office and the start date to be June 1, 1998 and further that in the absence of the Administrator, the Mayor, Public Works Chairman and Public Works Foreman be authorized to hire the summer student.

Recreation Open House scheduled for Wed. May 20 is postponed to give opportunity for all presentations to be completed.

Advised that a petition of some 700 signatures had been received regarding not using Lewis Park for building the Fruitvale Hall.

Has been approached about using community service workers in our community, re: cleanup of recycling area. Will look into further
Councillor Berriault Reported on filling times required for top and bottom tanks.

Trucks will be checked for certification.
Blast and paint interior of top tank approximate $55,000.
Mayor Walsh requested truck be washed for May Days Parade on Saturday, May 23rd.

Mayor Walsh Verbal report that he will be speaking to the Grade4/5 class from Montrose Elementary School as the class wrote him letters regarding what should be done with the pool money.

Deputy Clerk Advised that alley dust control would be done on May 21st
